IDTA Annual Congress 2012

Saturday 30 June to Tuesday 3 July, Southport Theatre and Convention Centre

The President and Board of Directors are delighted to invite members to attend the Association’s Annual Congress at the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre.

The Congress Arrangements Committees have once again worked hard to try to find the right balance for everyone attending based on your requests and recommendations. We have a full programme of lectures and workshops for members, which we are sure will give you great ideas for your school. The programme and a booking form will be circulated with the May issue of Dance International and can be downloaded from the members section of the website.

Congress starts with the IDTA Inventive Dance Competitions in Classical, Modern Sequence and Latin on Saturday 30 June. The competitions start at 10.00 am and run throughout the day ending at approx 5.00 pm. Application forms for member and dance teachers wishing to take part in the competitions are available from Carol or Liz at Head Office or can be download with the Congress flyer on the members section of the website.

On the evening of Sunday 1 July, the Association will be presenting the IDTA Showcase Gala in aid of the NSPCC and IDTA Benevolent Fund. The show will feature performances by IDTA students in all dance genres and an audience with IDTA member and head judge of Strictly Come Dancing, Len Goodman.

On Monday evening the Annual Dinner & Dance will be held in the Floral Hall Ballroom and we have two special cabaret performances for members and their guests attending the evening.

The IDTA Annual General Meeting, will be held on Tuesday 3 July at 10.00 am. Full details of the Congress and Annual General Meeting will be sent to all members on 1 June.

We look forward to welcoming you all to the Annual Congress. If you have any questions please contact Carol or Liz at IDTA Head Office.
